Wide Ratio Transmission Gear sets
CR 500 & CR 250
For hair scramble, desert, woods and flat track racing the first gear on the CR500 and Cr250 is too tall. Gearing it down can help, but will reduce top speed. To cure this problem Madman Engineering offers a wide ratio enduro transmission kit that spaces out third, fourth and fifth gears.
The stock cr250, & cr500 Ratios are:
1st: 1.8 2nd: 1.47 3rd: 1.235 4th: 1.05 5th: .909
The new Madman ratios are:
1st: 1.8 2nd: 1.47 3rd: 1.1 4th: .909 5th: .75
Wide ratio gear sets are available for
Cr 500 All (some shafts are .020 shorter than others and gear must me milled)
